Turkish Insurance Institute Foundation (TSEV)
Turkish Insurance Institute Foundation (TSEV), established in 1970 by the Insurance Association of Turkey and Milli Reasürans T.A.Ş., has been continuously providing training and consulting services to the insurance sector for many years. The foundation offers training programs in insurance techniques, risk management, insurance law, and management areas, targeting not only insurance sector professionals but also institutions and organizations in the insured position. Additionally, it conducts studies aimed at developing insurance awareness in Turkey.
TSEV, which renewed its business processes after the pandemic, has restructured its training activities to include both online and face-to-face formats. Online and hybrid models are applied in long-term training programs; participants are provided with the opportunity to participate in both face-to-face and online exams. While the majority of short-term training programs are conducted online, certain programs are planned face-to-face with limited capacity.
The Basic Insurance Training Program, one of the most comprehensive training programs in the field of insurance organized by TSEV since its establishment, has graduated approximately 3,000 participants to date. The Advanced Insurance Training Programs, which are a continuation of this program, stand out among the trainings with their project and application-oriented structure. In addition, Short-Term Training Programs designed according to current needs, Introduction to Insurance Program for Beginners, and Training Programs for Actuarial Exams are regularly planned.
Workshop Activities, launched since 2022, are implemented as branch-based trainings that progress through case analyses, based on participant interaction, and conducted face-to-face. Trainings for different groups have been carried out within the scope of Broker Academy: Insurance Training Program, conducted in cooperation with the Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Association. Additionally, the "Time to Become an Insurance Professional" program designed for university students in cooperation with AXA Insurance has been launched. In addition, seminars on special topics and personal development and skills training are also offered in line with the sector's needs.
With the transfer of training activities to digital platforms, access to TSEV programs for participants living outside Istanbul has increased significantly. In 2025, a total of 3,844 people received 3,058 hours of training within TSEV. In addition, consulting services, closed-class trainings, and proficiency assessment exams have been conducted in line with institutional requests.
Within the scope of international collaborations, the Actuarial Examinations conducted within the framework of agreements signed with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Insurance Association were also implemented by TSEV in 2025. Additionally, a specially designed training program for senior executives of Uzbekinvest Insurance Company was conducted face-to-face in Istanbul.
